Holiday Let Changeovers in Plymouth
9 June 2026 • 4 min read • Premier Cleaners, Plymouth
Plymouth's visitor season brings tight turnarounds, often with a checkout and a check-in on the same afternoon. A changeover that runs on a fixed routine, rather than on memory, is the difference between a calm handover and a scramble.
Build the changeover around the gap, not the property
Start from the time you actually have. Work out the order that gets the property guest-ready earliest — usually strip and restart laundry first, then bathrooms and kitchen, then floors, then presentation — so nothing waits on a machine at the end.
What guests notice immediately
Reviews rarely mention skirting boards. They mention these.
- Bed linen: fresh, and put on properly
- Shower glass, plughole and toilet
- Kitchen surfaces, hob and the inside of the microwave
- Bins emptied, with spare liners left
- Consumables: paper, soap, tea and coffee where you provide them
- A tidy, obviously reset look — cushions, chairs, blinds
Keep spares for everything
Two full sets of linen and towels per bed means a delayed wash never delays a check-in. The same applies to shower curtains, bathmats and light bulbs. Spares are cheaper than a bad review or a refunded night.
Reporting matters as much as cleaning
Damage, low stock and maintenance issues should reach you the same day, not at the end of the month. When we handle changeovers we agree the checklist and what gets reported, so you find out about a broken blind before the next guest does.
